- Loop in your stylist. Hairstylists are typically familiar with hearing aids, but it’s still helpful to let them know you wear them. They may suggest removing your devices during washing or coloring for added safety.
- Give your devices a break during styling. Remove your hearing aids before blow-drying, curling, straightening, showering or applying hairspray. Once your hair is dry and set, you can put them back in.
- Make clean hands a priority. Makeup, lotions and skincare products can easily transfer from your hands to your devices. Washing your hands before handling your hearing aids helps keep them clean and free from cosmetics.
